Nude ithyphallic satyr, with long beard and long hair, moving right in 'running-kneeling' position, holding a nymph in his arms, who raises her right hand in protest. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Boston MFA 851-2. Dewing 1312-3. HGC 6, 331. SNG Copenhagen 1008. Svoronos, HPM pl. X, 5. Boldly struck in high relief, and of powerful late Archaic style. A few faint marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
